This section will teach you about how to get onto the Internet with your iPad. There is only one browser on the iPad and that is the Safari browser. You can use this browser to connect through one of two ways. You can connect through a Wi-Fi connection or through a paid Internet service through a wireless carrier such as AT&T which provides 3G service.
3G service vs. Wi-Fi
You can get 3G service from a wireless carrier and you will pay a monthly fee for activation. Prices range from $14.99 a month to $29.99 a month. With this service you can get unlimited coverage wherever you go.
Wi-Fi is free wireless access. This wireless access is not provided everywhere. Once you get into a Wi-Fi area you will have to login with a password to access the Internet. Once you are out of a Wi-Fi area, you will no longer have a connection to the Internet.
